Dopo oltre 15 anni di sacrifici e di studio posso dire con estremo orgoglio che sono un'allevatrice.

Cosa significa allevare per me?

Allevare per me vuol dire continuare a studiare e impegnarmi per  far nascere cuccioli sani e di buon carattere, vuol dire rispettare i miei cani amandoli e prendendomene cura in quanto miei compagni di vita e non macchine per riprodurre.

Vuol dire testare genitori riproduttori e cuccioli per limitare al massimo le possibili tare genetiche.

Questo è il motivo per cui all'allevamento MOONNALA nascono poche cucciolate (generalmente 2 all'anno) selezionate e seguite ancora prima dell'accoppiamento.

Le mie femmine non vengono accoppiate mai prima del terzo calore e comunque non prima che abbiano raggiunto la maturità per fare le "mamme".

La ricerca del maschio giusto richiede inoltre molto tempo e spesso vi è la necessità di recarsi anche molto lontano per effettuare la monta.

La futura "mamma" viene seguita amorevolmente e sottoposta a esami e controlli durante tutto il periodo della gravidanza fino al momento del parto e durante l'allattamento.

I cuccioli nascono in casa e dormono nella loro cassa parto posizionata nella mia camera da letto in modo che io possa controllarli anche durante le ore notturne e intervenire in caso di bisogno, inoltre vengono manipolati e pesati almeno 3/4 volte al giorno.

Al quindicesimo giorno di vita circa, quando i piccoli iniziano ad aprire gli occhi comincio a fornire loro dei piccoli giochi tipo peluche o palline morbide.

Poco alla volta e sempre uno alla volta anche gli altri cani della famiglia iniziano a fare conoscenza con i nuovi arrivati, naturalmente sempre sotto la mia attenta supervisione.

Al raggiungimento del 1 mese di vita circa i cuccioli vengono trasferiti in un locale taverna molto ampio attrezzato in modo da stimolarli con numerosi rumori e situazioni varie, qui il gioco diventa fondamentale.

Inoltre da questo momento in avanti i cuccioli possono ricevere visite da parte di persone estranee che osserveranno le più rigide norme igieniche al fine di tutelare la salute dei piccolini. 

A seconda della stagione in cui nascono ci saranno anche le prime uscite all'aperto per esplorare il giardino insieme agli altri componenti canini della famiglia.

Sono molto felice quando i futuri nuovi proprietari hanno la possibilità di venire a trovare il loro cucciolo con delle visite in modo che si possa già creare un rapporto tra loro. 

Ogni mio cucciolo potrà lasciare l'allevamento per raggiungere la nuova famiglia non prima dei 70 giorni di vita e verrà ceduto dopo aver ricevuto i necessari trattamenti sanitari, la prima vaccinazione ed essere microchippato.

Inoltre ogni cucciolo verrà sottoposto a visita oftalmologica per le oculopatie ereditarie. 

Mi occuperò personalmente di effettuare tutte le pratiche con l'ENCI per il rilascio del relativo pedigree.

Anche dopo la cessione del cucciolo mi rendo disponibile in qualsiasi momento per supportare i nuovi proprietari per ogni loro dubbio o per qualsiasi necessità.

Al momento del trasferimento presso la nuova famiglia il cucciolo sarà corredato di un suo personale "Book" contenente tutto quello che lo riguarda.

After more than 15 years of sacrifice and study finally I can proudly say that I am a breeder.

What does it mean breeding for me?

Being a breeder means many things, first of all I will be keeping studying for the aim of producing healthy puppies up to the breed standard. It also means respecting my dogs which are and will always be my life companions.

I always test parents and puppies to keep under control as much as I can any genetic disease.

This is why MOONNALA  KENNEL do a selective breeding program. I won't breed many litters (most likely just two per year).

My bitches are never mated before the third season and not before they are mature in body and character to have puppies.

The search for the right male also requires a lot of time and often a long journey is required to reach the stud dog.

The future "mom" is looked after with loving care and love and checked with all due vet examinations during pregnancy up to the time of birth and during lactation.

Puppies are delivered at home and stay in my personal bedroom so that I can control them even during the night, they are also weighed 3/4 times a day.

When they are fifteenth days old they open their eyes hence I provide them with small soft toys or soft balls.

Gentle and gradually the other dogs of the pack are introduced to the puppies,  obviously always under my personal supervision.

At the age of 1 month, the puppies will be moved to a very wide well-equipped lounge where they can be stimulated with numerous noises and situations. Playing now is very important.

From now on, puppies can also receive visits from strangers who will observe the strictest hygiene rules to keep the little one safe.

Depending on the time of the year, puppies will be taken outside to get to know what is out there, and often in our garden with the other dogs of the family. 

I am very happy when future owners have the opportunity to come and visit their puppy so that they can already create a bond between each other.

Every puppy can leave our place to reach the new family not earlier than at 70 days of age after due medical treatment and checkups, such us vaccination, microchipping, eye test.

I personally take care of all paperworks with our Kennel Club to provide their pedigree. with ENCI for the release of its pedigrees.

Even after puppies are with their new families I am always available to help the new owners for any doubts or needs.

When puppies leave our home to join their new families they will receive their personal "Book" with plenty of informations that may be needed or useful.
